Each year since 2006, Sarasota County Government has developed and hosted a Sustainable Communities Workshop.
This year, the Climate Adaptation Center is proud to be a sponsor of the 15th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop – “Transforming to New Ways Forward.”
Building on the success of previous workshops, the 2020 event will draw participants, panelists and experts from around the world to share and discuss vital information to help build lasting, equitable communities. Additional information on this and previous workshops is available here.
The 15th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop will be an online event held October 29th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. The registration fee is only $10 ($5 for students.) Register now!
Update: November 28, 2020
The successful 2020 Workshop drew some 200 online attendees. Although the virtual workshop format was quite a change from the in-person sessions of previous years, the workshop still offered the usual interesting array of featured speakers and panel discussions.
The Climate Adaptation Center’s Bob Bunting participated in the following panel session “Addressing Climate Crisis via Advocacy, Policy and Adaptation.” Archived video of the entire Workshop can be viewed here.
